What was your path before joining the family adventure?
I first studied corporate communication, then went on to a press officer school in Lyon. In 2007, I left for London to perfect my English, and that’s where I had a revelation: I wanted to join the family business.
I studied at the London College of Fashion for four years before returning to Paris, just as we were opening our first boutique.
La Botte Gardiane embodies Camargue culture. What does this heritage mean to you?
It’s a source of deep pride. This heritage is our anchor, our roots. The Camargue has a strength, a light and an authenticity that you find in each of our creations.
French artisanal manufacturing is at the heart of your house. Why this choice?
It’s an absolute conviction. French manufacturing is part of our DNA. We make everything ourselves, from the raw leather to the finished boot. This total control allows us to preserve quality and work on a human scale, without always trying to produce more. What matters to us is quality, not quantity.
In France, we have exceptional savoir-faire, and for us it is an essential mission to defend it and make it shine around the world, while remaining true to our Camargue origins.
Of all your designs, do you have a favourite?
Yes, without hesitation: the botte gardiane, our emblematic model. It’s a design born in the 1950s, conceived above all for its function. The French leather is thick and rich in oils, which makes it a piece that stands the test of time without ever cracking. A true lifelong companion.
