For this new issue of La Gazette du Sud, La Treille Maison Ensoleillée introduces you to Louella Coll, a multidisciplinary artist and founder of BOL, a living studio in Marseille. She tells us about her singular journey, her intimate connection with materials and gesture, and her vision of poetic, committed creation.
My name is Louella, I’m 39, and I’m a multidisciplinary artist based in Marseille. My work explores the links between the body, language, sensory memory and the places we live in. Through painting, writing, printmaking and art installations, I try to make materials speak. Each gesture becomes a ritual, each creation a sensitive trace of what connects us to others and to the world.
My world is nourished by the invisible, the subtle, and by what flows between beings and things.
After a Master’s degree at the Beaux-Arts de Marseille, I forged my own path away from the traditional circuits. My journey has been woven through encounters, artist residencies and lived-in places.
I founded BOL, a living studio in Marseille that blends art and craft, creation and care. It is a place of transmission, experimentation and openness, where intimacy is shared. My artistic path has always brought me back to reflecting on transformation, traces and human connection.

My style is organic, poetic and slightly vintage. I love natural materials, fluid cuts and discreet details that evoke a personal story. Each piece is chosen for its sincerity and its texture.
