To launch La Gazette du Sud, our monthly meeting with inspiring women, La Treille Maison Ensoleillée takes you to meet Sandrine, a passionate ceramicist, bold entrepreneur and lover of the South. She shares her life story, her love of beautiful materials and her vision of a more conscious fashion.
I’m Sandrine, a management controller by training who became a ceramicist and shop owner. After 20 years at Marseille University Hospital as a management control engineer, I wanted to dare to do something different. In 2020, I took the plunge and trained in ceramics. It was love at first sight. Today, I’m the happy owner of HOLISUN, my ceramics brand, and of my shop in La Ciotat, a place I imagined as an extension of myself, warm and sunny.
I’ve always had a curious, creative eye. As a little girl, I drew clothing collections and wrote stories inspired by the Comtesse de Ségur. I loved making things, hunting for vintage finds, creating. I would have loved to go to art school, but life led me to study management. In the end, ceramics came naturally, a return to my creative, hands-on roots.
Crochet. But is it really a trend? For me, it’s timeless.

Slow, ethical and sustainable fashion. We buy less but better, favouring short supply chains. We stop buying to resell a month later; we buy to keep, to pass on, to love for a long time.
My scallop-shell jewellery box. It’s a piece that evokes the sea, the goddess Venus, pure beauty. It represents everything I love: symbolism, elegance and that little touch of soul.

I favour comfort and natural materials. I like to stay true to my tastes without being locked into a particular style. A polished look, but without fuss
Without hesitation, the Alba trousers and the Romy shirt in clay ramie, a chic, comfortable combination I could wear every day. I add the blue silk bandana for a vintage touch and the Seventies belt to cinch the waist. An easy, sunny look that feels just like me.
A summer evening, the stifling heat, the cicadas, the scent of orange blossom and barbecue... and elegant women wearing clothes that are recognisable, timeless and singular. That’s the whole spirit of La Treille.
